Panel -- Case Study Discussion: What is driving Africa's Growth?

Panel Summary:

What has driven Sub-Saharan Africa's accelerated growth from 2.5% between 1990 and 2000, to 6.1% today?   How much of this rebirth do we owe to rising resource prices? How much is this a story of emerging financial services? An expansion of retail? The explosion of telecoms?  And what are the top trends that will shape life and business in SSA in years ahead?

McKinsey & Company's Sub Saharan Africa practice is developing a consolidated perspective on SSA's growth drivers, outlook, and top trends.  In this workshop McKinsey will share early insights from this work and lead an open discussion on the outlook for the region.  Come join the debate on SSA's formative trends.
